It is fifth day since "Great Event" ( as per Honourable Gunfither Pratim Chatterjee) has occured. Now below the homeless inhabitants are wallowing on the foot of Park Street, hapless parents , kins and friends of missing bright persons are waiting forever in front of SSKM Morgue and several bright boys and girls, being reduced to scorched ashes, now resting in SSKM Morgue to be identified through a slow and resting (yes, they need a full holiday on Saturday and Sunday) bureaucratic process. Vultures are hovering over the building and our extremely adept and pro- people administrators are enjoying their "Rangila Sham" in the pleasure house of Nandan. Opposition Party is also trying to gain out of the loss. But to nobody it is a matter. The very attitude of  Hon'ble Pratim Babu is that the boys and girls have committed a great crime by accepting a painful death forcibly perhaps to malign Left Front during this Crisis Hour of Election & Defeat.

But......but.......but we the Civil Societies, we the NGOs.......... why are we so silent. Dont' we have anything to do during this hour of extreme crisis ? Did any one of us went on the foot of Park Street to offer a bottle of water to the homeless people and the bereaved families hopelessly waiting in front of SSKM Morgue? I don't know how many of us. But why ? Perhaps this type of work will not be sponsored by any funding agency.

Where are those protesting intellectuals ? Why they are not on the foot of Park street with all their love and humanity for the distressed ?

Only one generous lady came forward to take charge of schooling of two boys of one family.

Brothers and comrades my earnest appeal is that please don't seat idle. Let the politicians do their own politics but please come forward. Let us make a list of the families who have lost their only earning members. Take a vow WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY FAMILY TO DIE IN DARKNESS.  Let us form a committee, let us appeal to everybody and every Corporate House (without prejudice) do donate to the fund. Let the media houses to join hands and think for the survival of the distressed families.

Don't you think that this is the time of concrete action ? Think. Think Quickly and Act. LET OUR CITY BE A CITY OF LOVE AND HUMANITY NOT A CITY OF DEAD.

Kolkata (help•info) (Bengali: কলকাতা ; IPA: [ˈkolkat̪a]), formerly Calcutta (help•info), is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in eastern India on the east bank of the River Hooghly.[1] When referred to as Calcutta, it usually includes the suburbs, and thus its population exceeds 15 million,[2] making it India's third-largest metropolitan area and urban agglomeration. This also makes it the world's 8th largest metropolitan area as defined by the United Nations.[3] Kolkata served as the capital of India during the British Raj until 1911. Once the centre of modern education, industry, science, culture and politics in India, Kolkata has witnessed intense political violence, clashes and economic stagnation since 1954. Since the year 2000, economic rejuvenation has spurred on the city's growth. Like other metropolitan cities in India, Kolkata continues to struggle with the problems of urbanisation: poverty, pollution and traffic congestion. Kolkata is noted for its revolutionary history, ranging from the Indian struggle for independence to the leftist and trade union movements.
